Virendra Chitrav

Festival Director

Virendra Chitrav has mined a wealth of experience over the years from globally acclaimed festivals such as Kirloskar Vasundhara Eco Rangers (KVER), Ramnadi Restoration Mission (RRM), Asian Film Festival and Global Pulotsav. He has added value from different avenues. First as a partner in an architectural and interior design firm known as ‘The Grid’, then by starting India’s first of its kind local video news channel in 1989, known as ‘Pune Varta’. His agility and passion for film earned him an appointment as member of the Maharashtra government’s Film Advisory Board, followed by the Government of India’s Central Board of Film Certification. The Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) founded 50 years back by veteran film director Satyajit Ray, sees Virendra as President of the Maharashtra Chapter and Regional Council Member of the western region.

He is a man of many talents, and apart from film, Virendra partakes in drama, music literature and environment protection initiatives. 400 festivals with more than 40 years in the field of organisation has brought national and international acclaim and that is what makes him Kirloskar Vasundhara’s Festival Director.
