Environmental sensitivity is what binds this group of collegians together. With an aim to organise action-oriented programmes throughout the year, the Kirloskar Vasundhara Eco Rangers build awareness on issues related to environment, wildlife, energy, air and water. A platform will be crafted by the eco-sensitive generation for those who wish to contribute positively towards a greener tomorrow.
This will be supervised by a committee of professors and experts who will provide guidance every step of the way. This initiative will also strive to make students think and feel green by creating an unbiased and non-judgemental documentation of the status of environmental sustainability on college campus. Through energy and resource optimisation, it will not only brand the campus as a ‘Green Campus’, but also generate financial savings.
Since building awareness is the gateway to change, Kirloskar Vasundhara Eco Rangers will screen films, station workshops, open forums on current topics, stage interactive sessions, photo exhibitions and schedule audio-visual lectures. Apart from that, morning walks and eco-trails will be brought about to further embark on action-packed programmes like plastic and e-waste collection drive and tree plantations.
