With a B.A., B.Ed. and an Art Teacher Diploma (A.T.D.) from J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai, Shyam G Joshi is working as an Assistant Teacher at Anglo-Hindi High School, Yavatmal. He is the Founder Secretary of ‘Cobra Adventure and Nature Club’ Yavatmal, since 1997. This organisation works for the protection, conservation and development of the environment. He has been nominated as ‘Honorary Wild-life Warden’ for the last six years in the Yavatmal district. Shyam G Joshi has developed more than 25 ‘weirs’ in the forests on rivulets and nullahs with the help of member-volunteers of the Club. He is a leading activist in the rescue operations of wild animals and injured birds. He nurses them before rehabilitating them in their natural habitat. He is the District Master Trainer at the Social Forestry Department Yavatmal.
