Mr.Shivananda Kalave is the born in Sirsi, the heartland of Western Ghats in Karnataka and living there. After his B.Com, and Diploma in Journalism, he worked as a journalist for a while and a columnist to dailies and magazines. Conserved many indigenous species of fruits and crop, constructed more than 40 lakes. He established Kanmane-nature awareness camp in Sirsi, conducting regular training camps for people of different walks of life on sustainable practices. Published more than 20 books on different topics and bestowed with so many awards including Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.
