In 2010 as CO of Dapoli Municipality he decided that he would make Dapoli ‘plastic free’. He motivated the people and with public participation achieved amazing results. Dapoli continues to be free of plastic till today. In 2015 he took over as Vengurla’s CO driving the town’s exemplary sanitation schemes and waste disposal projects. Under his leadership Vengurla Municipality was declared an Open Defecation Free City in Maharashtra.
