Prof. P. S. Dubey is a science graduate from Vikram University, Ujjain. He completed his Masters in Botany from the same university. In 1969, he completed his Ph. D. in Ecology. Since 1970, he took up teaching as his profession and taught at Jodhpur University and Ujjain University. Along with teaching, he did his research work in Pollution & Ecosystem, Toxicity & Modeling and Pollution Prevention & Management. Prof. Dubey and his team received 22 National & State Awards for their research work. Because of his efforts, for the 1st time in the country, a quantification of ‘total scavenging potential’ of plant species, comparative efficiency of tree species etc. was possible. At International level, Dr. Dubey was invited as a member of the expert group constituted by Prof. J.N.B. Bell, Imperial College of Science & Technology for Overseas Development Agency of UK. He is an Honorary Environmental Advisor to various Organizations & Industrial units. He has delivered several technical & popular lectures and written a number of articles related to environmental problems in Hindi & English. He has delivered talks and interviews on AIR, BBC, VOA and Doordarshan. He is a member of the Central & State Govt. & other organisations such as State Pollution Control Board, Govt. of MP, Environment Task Force etc.
