Nidhi Jamwal is an independent journalist who reports mainly on issues of environment, climate change and rural India. She has contributed many articles to Scroll.in, The Wire, Gaon Connection, Mongabay India and Down To Earth magazine. She trekked to the Everest Base Camp as a fellow of the Himalayan Climate Boot Camp 2024 to report on the impact of climate change in the Everest region. Her insightful reporting has won her several awards. Some of the prominent ones are the UNFPA@50 Special Laadli Award 2024’ and ‘Certificate of Appreciation 2024’ from the Indian Meteorological Society Pune. She won the first prize (internet category) in the ‘All India Environmental Journalism Competition 2015’ and the Jury Appreciation Certificate of the ‘Laadli Media and Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity 2014-15’.
