Maruti Chitampalli

Vasundhara Honours - Lifetime Achievement

Maruti Chitampalli is a wildlife conservationist and Marathi writer. He trained at the State Forest Service College in Coimbatore. Post completion, he joined the Maharashtra State government services. During his professional life, he was posted at various forests and national parks, having live experiences with various entities. This laid the foundation of his interest in writing literary work. Maruti Chitampalli retired as the Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests and was instrumental in the development of Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Navegaon National Park. Maruti assisted displaced wildlife at Nagzira Sanctuary and Melghat Tiger Project.
