Manik Mahadu Kasar is a progressive farmer, successfully reaping organically grown crops. He does his bit to stall environmental damage caused by overuse of chemicals in agriculture. For the past 12 years he has constantly been spreading the concept of organic farming through radio, newspapers and seminars. He has been awarded ‘Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Krishi-Ratna’ and ‘Farmer of the Year 2009-10’.
