Born at Kothabala, Ron taluk, Gadag district on 20th June 1960, he did B.Sc. in Physics from Karnataka University, Dharwad. He did extensive studies in Indian and Western Philosophy, Veerashaiva Studies, Ancient and Modern Literature, Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi and English Literature. He is also an expert in Computers. He conducted hundreds of orientation programs for the youth, farmers, teachers, government employees and women groups. He did afforestation and watershed management activities in 1000 acres of forest in Kapothagiri. Because of Swamiji’s efforts, 50,000 different seeds have been dabbled in the forest. Since 2003, in consultation and cooperation with Forest, Zilla and Taluka Panchayat officials, District Administration and Local Representatives of people, the Sansthan undertook massive afforestation programs. These included the revival of traditional water harvesting structures, concrete check dams (40 nos.), gully pluggings (1000 nos.), vertical trenches across the down slopes of the hills (80,000 nos.) and pits to contain flowing water resulting in raising the underground waterlevel (25,000 nos). In addition, 50,000 seeds of different trees were also sown in the region.
