Research Scientist (Pearl Millet) Dr. K. D. Mungra is currently working as Research Scientist at Junagadh Agriculture University on Pearl Millet. Worked as a Co-PI from 2010 to 2015 in the Bill and Malinda Gates Foundation on the topic International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropic(ICRISAT), Hyderabad. Worked as a Co-PI from 2010 to 2022 in the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropic(ICRISAT), Hyderabad on the topic genetic enhancement of pearl millet for high grain iron density for improved human nutrition in India. He was the co-project investigator in “Heterotic pool formation in pearl millet and Project Investigator for “Private hybrid testing in pearl Millet” was major contributor in releasing of a fodder sorghum (single cut) variety CSV 21F at National level and recommended for all the fodder growing tract of India. This was the unique accomplishment of first of its kind since starting of Main Sorghum Research Station. He has published many research paper at National and International level and published two books
