She is an environment journalist and documentary filmmaker currently working with BBC Marathi in BBC NEWS, Delhi Bureau. She has worked extensively in environment journalism for over 17 years. She is widely known for making well- researched reportage and documentary films on the environment and wildlife conservation. In her bid to increase public awareness about these topics, she started the Shekru-Wildlife conservation Trust in 2004. She has written hundreds of articles and news stories for magazines and newspapers on different environmental topics and in the process, has received many prestigious awards for her work.
