Anupam Mishra is a Gandhian, Environmentalist, and Water Conservationist who works on promoting water conservation & management and traditional rainwater harvesting techniques. He has been awarded the 1996 Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar (IGPP), an award instituted by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India. He travels to villages across states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh; advocating water harvesting. He has been advocating the conservation of traditional water structure in India as well as abroad.
