Aaple Paryavaran is an NGO headed by the tree man of Nashik, Mr. Shekhar Gaikwad. This NGO has planted more than 70,000 trees of the indigenous variety in the past 20 years in and around Nashik. Aaple Paryavaran distributes free saplings and bird nests to local people. It takes up local environmental causes and creates awareness among the local people and students. As a part of the Vanrai and Devrai projects, Aaple Paryavaran is involved in reviving forests that belong to the government. Mr. Shekhar Gaikwad is a recipient of the Wipro- Nature Forever Society Sparrow Award in the year 2016.
