Nashik Ploggers, an NGO established in 2019 under the leadership of Mr. Tejas Narendra Talware, explores the innovative concept of ‘plogging,’ which involves gathering plastic debris while jogging. Nashik Ploggers has successfully conducted the clean-up of many important tourist destinations in and around Nashik. The NGO has collaborated with many organizations and schools to promote tree plantation and protection, eco-friendly plastic waste disposal and stresses on the importance of rainwater harvesting. Buttsbin, an innovative project, involves the safe disposal of discarded cigarette butts. The NGO has won numerous awards, including the Environmental Conservation National Forum's Best Award in Solid Waste Management, Jhatka.org's Excellent Community Coordinator, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation's Paryatan Mitra Award, Rotaract Nine Hills' Agent of Change, and many more.
