She worked as assistant plantation officer in the forest Dept. between 1986 and 2011. She willingly stepped out of the traditional thought-lines of a govt. servant, cultivating and planting a variety of trees. She has, so far, helped in planting more than a crore of trees. After retirement she started a nursery as a hobby thus providing various types of plants to the residents of Nashik. In her nursery one can get a glimpse of rare plants from Trimbakeshwar and Harsul Peth.
