Born in Mumbai, Abhilash Khandekar did his schooling and college education from Indore and Pune. He has a Masters degree in Commerce (M. Com.) and Political Science (M.A.). He is a professional Journalist who began his career in the early 80s as a Sports Journalist with Free Press Journal, Mumbai’s Indore edition. He is associated with The Nature Volunteers (TNV), an ‘informal pressure group of environmentally restless people’. He spearheaded the Save Tiger Campaign in 2006.
