Kiran Rahalkar has participated in many nature-related initiatives in Nashik. He is particularly interested in studying tigers and other big cats. He has studied tigers of Kanha National Reserve and has contributed significantly in creating the ‘Checklist of birds of Nashik’. He is currently associated with ‘Wildlife Conservation’ and represents Nashik on ‘Kids For Tigers’. He has especially researched about ‘Life-cycle of parasites in carnivorous mammals’ of Kanha and Bandhavgarh reserved forests through ‘Corbett and IISER’, Pune.
