After retiring from Indian Railways, Ajit Oak has taken to agriculture as his full-time occupation. He erected a dam and made a parallel waterway leading to the increase in groundwater and water in wells. For the last 15 years he has been involved in tree plantations, biogas plants, wormy culture and organic silkworm farming.
